The best thing to do with your finished bowl after eating cereal is to fill it up with warm soapy water and leave it for an hour or so and then, if you have a dishwasher, run it through the cycle. Failing that I would suggest using one of the sponges from the supermarket that have a green scourer on the top side, these are my endless salvation and I use mine everyday without fail.
